Longmont Paint Disposal

Where to Dispose Paint in Longmont, Colorado

Attn: Longmont Homeowners: How to dispose of latex paint and paint can disposal? Latex paint is a non-hazardous material that must be disposed of properly. Latex paint should never be disposed in your normal trash. Latex paint is less toxic than oilbased paint, but it still has poisonous chemicals in it. Never dump the old paint down storm drains where it will travel directly to surface and/or ground waters. Old latex paint could be filled with harmful molds. Old Paint Cans may contain potentially dangerous toxins. Disposing of paints into Colorado landfills is an improper paint disposal practice. Most Colorado hazardous waste collection facilities in the Longmont area do not accept old latex paint for disposal.
